Reflect on Project #2

 Rhetorical Situation:

  • My focus purpose was to how what visuals public health workers use most and how they communicate there information with patients. I found out infographics is most commonly used to present visuals to the patients and readers so my main focus was to explain more about infographic in the health field. 
  • My target audience where people in my major, public health workers, and anyone in the health care department. Health care is such a broad department and my newsletter can benefit anyone in the health field. 
  • My newsletter can be digital and sent out through internet or can be posted around the school  or even posted in health colleges. 
  • Through the article I made it clear enough for anyone to read and also beneficial for my public health. I had to make sure it address both parties so it can sense for everyone. 
Ethics: 

  • Citing correctly and giving credit to the people who wrote the information was one my ethical issues. Along with the proper in text citation in the newsletter. I had to double check and re read my work to make sure I didn't forget to cite anything. 
  • Making sure my sources were accredited to use in my project and not adding fluff into my project. I had examine my articles and make sure they were directed specifically to my topic. 
  • Citing pictures, I had to google how to cite my picture that I used as an example of an infographic. 


Project:
  • What are you most proud of in the entire project? Why?
I am most proud of finding good sources to support my ideas and claims in my newsletter. I knew most of the information I wanted to say but I am glad I found good articles to back my word up. 
  • What do you wish you had time to further expand, include, or revise in the project?
I wish I had more type to expand or explore the various different type of infographics and maybe show the steps on how to make one. I would want to learn how to make one so I can be prepared in my field.
  • When and where did you get stuck while working on the project? How did you overcome your problem?
I got stuck on finding the sources and scholarly articles based on my topic and career focus. I change my key word searches in order to find the articles I was looking for. I was also confuse on the project prompt but after seeing others and doing the peer review it help me understand the project better.

Learning:
  • What technologies did you use to complete this project? Why were they appropriate? What processes did you take to learn the technology application/s? What did you learn? What more you hope to learn in the future? How/why might you use the technology application/s again?
I used the library database and google scholar in order to complete this project. There were appropriate for the project because they were accredited sources and good information to use for my newsletter and annotated bibliography. I already knew how to use the technology but I did learn how to search something properly but using the correct key words. I would this technology application again when I do research papers in school or anytime I am looking for a accredited source. 

I also learn more about citing using MLA and APA format by doing project #2, though most of the sources cite it for you I had to google and learn how do in text citation correctly. 
  • Discuss at least three of the course outcomes you feel you worked towards with this assignment. Provide evidence of your learning by pointing to specific aspects of the project.
I would on my sentence structure, grammar and a different type of writing style that can benefit me in the future. Revising anything will always help me with my grammar and sentence structure because I can only get better if I keep practicing. 
  • Discuss at least one personal course goal you feel you worked towards with this assignment. Provide evidence of your learning by pointing to specific aspects of the project. 
Comprehending what I read and being able to annotated it and discuss it in a personal manner is one of my goals I think I work towards with this assignment. Looking at different articles help me understand more the topic and also the project goals.
  • What did you learn about yourself as a technical writer?
I learn I can annotate anything I see and I can use this skill more in the future as far as my writing goes.

Writing Grammatically Correct Sentences and Choosing the Right Words and Phrases  I struggle the most with sentence structure and grammar, learning these rules and reviewing might help better my writing.  1. Usage of commas.  Comma are misused in sentences because of breaking up two independent clause by a comma, or not list correctly. We our a consulting company, we have been hired to help assist a technical company of Universal Assistance with teamwork and collaboration. The company has been dealing with conflicts in the group and looking for a resolution. Our team consist of three members; Ashley White, Jonah Matanky, and Wesley Ochs. Our goal is produce a report to help clear up any problems and show the correct way to produce great products as a team.
